It is a perfectly sane response to our troubled world to experience depression or anxiety. We all need guidance and support in life to manage this human experience.
We can work together to strengthen your ability to adapt and recover, cultivating a thriving empowerment from within that moves you forward with joy, inspiration, and success.
Balancing Approaches:
Empathic Care: Listening, receiving, following your lead, and holding a safe space for you to feel heard about the concerns that you seek to resolve.
Directive: Guiding thought, verbal, and movement exercises as well as providing compassionate realizations and nurturing a newfound curiosity about the solution.
Top Down: Intellectual evidence based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Artistic Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
Bottom up: Working directly with the brain, nervous system, and emotional baseline using the evidence based interventions of Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory, Interpersonal Neurobiology, EMDR, and HeartMath to resolve the effects of trauma and to reset the chemistry of the body toward healthy emotional habits without being required to revisit the specifics of the past.
Releasing the negative: Letting go and allowing to flow the depleting, unhealthy, blocked emotion (grief and frustration) that is in the way of mental and emotional wellbeing.
Renewing with the positive: Establishing healthy, kind, caring, and supportive self-talk while strengthening a new baseline of renewing emotional habits (feeling calm, safe, caring, trusting, and thankful).
